Mercedes flaunts new £1m motorhome

Not many automakers have ventured into building motorhomes also known as recreational vehicles. But one company that is reputed for this is Mercedes-Benz.

The German automaker recently released a new motorhome designed to sleep a family of six and a luxury car.

A report by an online journal, independent.co.uk said the bus-sized Mercedes ‘Variomobil Signature 1200’ was offered for £1m.

According to the report, the motorhome has a 523 horsepower Mercedes engine and it is a cross between a penthouse and a sports car.

“A ramp lowers at the back of the mansion on wheels, from where your sports car can reverse out. But it’s inside the motorhome that will really take your breath away,” it stated.

It described the interior as slick, stylish and elegant, adding that every aspect of the vehicle had been cleverly designed to make the most of the space.

The recreational vehicle is said to look more like a luxury yacht than a motorhome with its leather upholstery, plush sofas and wooden veneers.

Other facilities inside the vehicle were given as a TV, induction hob, dining table that could lower to a coffee table, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, full bathroom, under-floor heating, LED satellite TV, ambient lighting and Bose audio system.

“It sleeps four to six people too, and you’d be forgiven for never wanting to leave,” the report stated.

“It holds a Porsche – you know, when you want to travel around with your family but also ditch them from time to time to go for a speedier spin,” it added.
