Sergio Aguero admits he 'would love' to see Barcelona star Lionel Messi join Manchester City

Sergio Aguero admits he “would love” to have Lionel Messi at Manchester City, and while he believes money would not be a problem, he admits any deal would be “quite complicated”.

Messi has been strongly linked with a potential move away from boyhood club Barcelona following the €222m exit of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain in the mid-year transfer period.

Manchester City have since been tipped with preparing a €400m bid for the Argentina international in January, and Aguero admits he would be thrilled to have his compatriot at the Etihad Stadium.

Aguero told broadcaster TyC Sport: "The money isn't a problem here, but I think Messi, like Ronaldo, is a player who is a symbol of their club and it's difficult for them to leave.

“I would love to have Leo on my team, but that seems quite complicated.”
